Herewith directions to get to our farmhouse, which is only reachable by road or track. The nearest public transport or taxi services are 30 kms away.
By Car
From the North, South and West (A75 Motorway)
Drive to Védrines-Saint-Loup on road D990.
Drive through Védrines-Saint-Loup on that same road and keep going to Pinols and Langeac.
DO NOT take junctions to Chastel on the way.
Road D990 becomes D590 when changing “département”.
You will then find the Montchauvel access road on your way to Pinols, on the left, at about 7 kms from Védrines-Saint-Loup.
From the East
From Langeac take road D590 to Pinols and Saint-Flour.
You will find the Montchauvel access road on the right, about 10 kms after passing Pinols.
DO NOT go to Chastel.
Once you are on the Montchauvel access road, always take the leftmost tar road and keep driving to the end.
The road goes up a small hill at the hamlet entrance, and leads to the farmhouse gate.

By Train
Go to Clermont-Ferrand from the Paris-Bercy train station.
At Clermont-Ferrand, take a connecting train or coach to either Saint-Flour/Chaudes-Aigues, Brioude or Langeac.
I can pick you up at the Saint-Flour or Langeac stations.
Alternatively, you may rent a car in Saint-Flour or Brioude.
Transfer Service Option
For our international guests, we can provide recommendations on the means to reach our farmhouse prior to departure.
Upon request, we can provide you with assistance during transfers, either by phone or by guiding you through.
Should you request the host to accompany you to our farmhouse from any point in France, it is understood that you would have to pay for your own and his/her transportation, and that he/she would travel with you in the same conditions. No additional cost would be charged for this service.
Transfer from the nearest coach or train stations (Saint-Flour, Langeac) is complimentary.
